November 12, 2017 Speaker: Jack Jenkins Series: Ephesians

Passage: Ephesians 5:22– 6:9, Genesis 6:4

Below are the rapid-fire disciplinary points made from the sermon:

  1. Set clear boundaries and limits for your children.
  2. Avoid unannounced rules! Don’t make up rules as you go along.
  3. Don’t exasperate your children with too many rules.
  4. When it’s possible & applicable, explain to your children why you have made the rules you have.
  5. Make sure you establish rules and regulations on biblical principles.
  6. Remember, rules are good for your children!
  7. Clearly communicate to your children that you expect immediate obedience.
  8. When your children are young, the primary means of chastisement will be the literal “rod”.
